Our company operates in the booming industry of Precision Medicine and Genetic Analysis (DNA Tests). Our focus is on developing and providing Genetic Testing Analysis both in Medical and Direct-To-Consumer Genomics sectors, with constant research activity through co-operation with universities in Greece and abroad.

Our lab
In our laboratory (iDNA Laboratories), we utilise significant molecular and genetic findings and bioinformatics analysis, aiming at their practical application in the context of personalised medical care. In this way, we provide access to simplified, accessible and high quality analysis of genomic, pharmacogenetic and also consulting services regarding the clinical interpretation of the results. The saliva samples are analysed by molecular biologists, who identify genotypes of mononucleotide polymorphisms, and therefore individualised report analyses are created.
Our laboratory has been certified for ISO 13485:2016.
How our DNA is turned into a laboratory reference
The epithelial cells of the oral cavity contain the same genomic DNA as the cells circulating in our blood. By collecting a small amount of epithelial cells according to manufacturer instructions, high reliability in sample analysis is ensured. DNA from the epithelial cells found in the saliva sample we receive is extracted and isolated in our certified laboratory. Then, DNA is processed using the most updated and sophisticated laboratory methods and the existing genetic variations in our genome are identified. Our genetic data is analysed using bioinformatics systems and algorithms of state-of-the-art technology and thus personalised reports are created based on standard scientific and medical research.
